SPA Creators have been working with owner Ian Taylor and the team at Kaleidoscope Hotel Collection to boost the spa and wellness facilities at their two hotels. A masterplan has been created in conjunction with the project architect and SPA Creators have been supporting the design and development process.
Homewood in Bath will be the first property to benefit from this work with an investment of over £500,000 into an expansion of its spa and wellness offering as part of a wider phased investment programme at the hotel. Launching this summer, the new development will see the creation of a new bespoke vitality pool, experience showers and relaxation room with views across the Avon Valley. Additional pool seating and a new outdoor sauna have also already been installed. Also included within this development is the addition of spa and wellness offerings in hotel guest bedrooms with private spa areas. With continued interest in wellness tourism and immersive spa experiences, last year Homewood launched two spa suites and an Ice Bath Retreat, which saw a 7% uplift on bookings year on year.
Bishopstrow House the sister hotel will be completing a similar development to Homewood with the addition of a natural swimming pool. We will release more details on this project later in 2024.
SPA Creators have worked with a number of hotel clients to revitalise their spa offering with the addition of a range of wet spa equipment and the reworking of the spa facility with interior refurbishment. From the experience over the last 20 years we have seen an ROI of 18 months on investments within spa projects. If you are an existing hotel spa operator it would be worth reviewing your spa business to see if you can obtain a better revenue and utilisation.
