The spa design team at SPA Creators are always looking at pushing the boundaries of spa design. To that end they had this idea of creating a Halotherapy room with swinging heated loungers. This has never been done before so working with manufacturer Topline and Interfurb we set out to make the concept a reality. This development took 4 months working through how the design could be achieved. The key challenges with this concept was the loungers are very heavy combined with the users weight so a steel frame was erected within the walls and ceiling voids to accommodate the structure. Specially designed ropes and fixings allow for the loungers to swing freely. The room looks truly amazing!!
The heated loungers are ergonomically formed to fit the shape of the body and the heat benefits the users by relaxing and rejuvenating their muscles. These loungers are set within a Halotherapy room which is formed from Himalayan Salt and infused salt air. Additional heat is provided by a stone heated stove. The therapeutic benefits of salt therapy is well know for skin conditioning and for the respiratory systems. As a post Covid treatment this is very beneficial.
Users of the Halotherapy room have been wowed by the experience and this thermal experience has become a popular go to destination with the thermal journey of guest at the Lion Quays Resort & Spa.
