Mara Spa

A unique heritage building in the heart of Oban, the Perle Hotel has undergone significant investment by the new owners over the last 2 years. As part of the final stage of the investment it was identified to locate a spa and wellness area on the fourth floor of the property.

This boutique facility was designed by Spa Creators from concept through to delivery. The project was very challenging dealing with historic Scotland and the planners to obtain permissions.

Once obtained the team worked closely with Beth Rehman to deliver a luxury scheme. This included treatment rooms, thermal spa, fitness studio, boutique, and apothecary store open to outside visitors with a street level access.

The spa interiors embraced the costal location with Beth & Alistair sourcing local products from artisans in the region. ‘I believe the essence of the spa is relaxation and a sense of wellbeing, the intimate feel we have created promotes this’ comments Alistair.

Spa Creators crafted a treatment offering which included Phytomer & Made For Life. These ranges are natural and organic and these will sit under the MARA Spa brand which is the Gaelic word for sea. It is planned that Perle Hotels will deliver similar schemes in their other properties and SPA Creators will be an active partner in these ongoing plans.

The Mara Spa briefly opened in 2020 and will re-open post COVID for the season 2021.
