This project is a new build facility in Mawdsley in Lancashire in the north of England. The site is independently owned and sits alongside a luxury residential care home and was part of a multi million investment including 12 self-contained apartments.
From the initial meeting it was clear to our design team the clients’ aspirations were to create the best 5-star wellness facility in the region. SPA Creators were given complete freedom to create a unique spa experience from concept to detailed design. The owners during the design process were content with the direction chosen by SPA Creators embracing the approach of creating a business that would provide ROI and not creating a vanity project.
SPA Creators touched every aspect of the design and build working closely with Martin Sherlock the project and contracts manager to ensure the design intent was met fully. This included working with Intoto Kitchen Design to develop the AJ Bistro and a dining concept. The F&B is a significant part of the spa and leisure experience.
Our team provided a full interior service sourcing finishes and furniture and managed the supplier relationships ensuring the project was delivered on time and to budget.
The client appointed 3D Leisure to manage the spa and leisure facility post completion. SPA Creators worked closely with the operations team ensuring the final delivery met there every need. The spa opened in the summer of 2020 and reopened in April 2021 post lockdown.
